Mulled apple juice
A perfect non-alcoholic winter warmer particularly for kids, drivers and non-drinkers! If you’d rather an alcoholic alternative, have a go at making mulled apple cider.
- 1l apple juice
- Strips of orange peel
- 1 cinnamon stick, plus extra to garnish, if you like
- 3 cloves
- 3 cm piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- Dark brown sugar or honey, to taste
Simmer the apple juice with the orange peel, cinnamon stick, ginger and cloves for about 10 minutes until all the flavours have infused. Sweeten to taste and you liking.
Once you’re happy, serve each drink with an orange peel and a piece of cinnamon stick, for extra taste and finesse!
