It was a great way to learn new skills and meet other people doing great things. I didn’t know what I wanted to do but came out with a clear idea of what direction I wanted to go in. It’s led me to a project that’s helped me feel so much more rooted in my community.

Travel and accommodation
Community Camp will take place at Hulme Community Garden Centre, Manchester on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April 2024.
During the application, we’ll ask you some key questions about where you’re travelling from and whether you need accommodation. If you’re successful and travel and/or accommodation are required, the cost for these will be covered.
Because of the limited number of places and funding available, we’re restricting applications to those based in the North of England. If you’re not certain whether you’re eligible, please email communitycamp@edenproject.com and we can let you know!
What you can expect from Community Camp
We’re busy finalising all the details for the two day course, but here’s a rough guide for what to expect:
- a chance to meet and build connections with 40 other like-minded people in your area
- a jam-packed programme full of advice from experts in their field and people on the ground
- interactive workshops including how to tell your story, confidence in your leadership and bringing in helpers and funding
- small steps to help you get started and practical tools and offers for you to take away to help you develop your ideas
- opportunities to connect with other like-minded people and access to a support network
- dedicated support from our team, who live and work right across the UK
Connections and safeguarding
During the course you’ll meet new people and we want people to make connections safely and comfortably.
We recognise that that is different for different people. So please only share personal details or personal experiences that you are happy to share, and respect people’s confidentiality in conversations.
There will always be a designated member of the team on each session who will be there to help anyone if they feel uncomfortable at any time.
Recording and photography
We may have a photographer present to take photos of Community Camp at various points throughout the weekend. We may use these images for marketing purposes, including on social media.
If you would prefer not to be in any photos, please tell a member of staff at the earliest opportunity, and stand to one side when any big group photos are taking place.
