The Big Lunch for Schools

The Big Lunch is about millions of people getting together to share food, have fun and get to know each other better. On 1 and 2 June, people around the UK will stop what they're doing and get together in a nationwide act of community and friendship. As this is a weekend and may fall during half term, schools can instead hold Big Lunches whenever suits them.

The Big Lunch is inclusive and welcoming; it’s a fantastic opportunity for schools and students to celebrate achievements, raise funds for the school or help grow the school community.

Below is everything you need to know about The Big Lunch, why it is important and how schools can join in. We have ideas and free resources available below to make planning a Big Lunch as easy as possible for you and to enable you to easily fit it into your lesson planning.
