As a charity, Eden Project Communities relies on the generosity of funders and partnerships for our programme of activities and events to help us to reach as many people in communities as possible. Our core community development programme is currently supported by our annual flagship event The Big Lunch, our workshops and Community Camps.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our supporters and partners who make our work possible.
Core programme funder
Thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery, Eden Project Communities is able to continue our work in supporting communities. We are immensely proud of what we've already achieved with great celebratory events such as The Big Lunch and our nationwide outreach development work. Through our ongoing partnership with The National Lottery Community Fund, the hard work of our team at Eden and the money raised by National Lottery players, we're on a mission to help the UK connect with their communities.
The Big Lunch Partners
Iceland and The Food Warehouse
As a high street retailer, Iceland and The Food Warehouse encourage people to shop local and to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. Through The Big Lunch we are committed to working together to help communities thrive. Iceland are committed to protecting the planet by pledging to remove plastic from its own label packaging by 2023, removing palm oil as an ingredient, along with reducing carbon and food waste. You can see much more about their Doing it Right plan here.
Nextdoor is the neighbourhood social network for connections and helpful resources. Their platform aims to bring neighbours together and together we believe community connections help to cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighbourhood they can rely on. That truth, and the reality that neighbourhoods are one of the most important and useful communities in our lives, have been a guiding principle for Nextdoor since the beginning.
The nations favourite cuppa, PG tips uses only 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified™ tea – in fact, it was the first tea brand in the UK to carry the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal, and it has continued to make positive changes such as switching to biodegradable tea bags and removing plastic from the products. PG tips is passionate about the power of botanical blends on wellbeing as well as encouraging togetherness over a cuppa.
Our research shows that people who take part in a Big Lunch are then more likely to go on to become active citizens in their communities. Our partners Pears Foundation are supporting The Big Lunch’s aim to reach more people in communities to share fun and friendship.
Partners and sponsors
Our nationwide campaigns and events are supported by corporate partners and sponsors who we work closely in collaboration with to ensure full benefits and opportunities. We offer different levels of corporate sponsorship that will enable your business to build trust and reputation, reach new customers and meet your CSR objectives.
Our network of Friends help support, promote and fund our community outreach programmes and encourage community connections across their audience of customers, members and employees.
