Apex Lifts bring colleagues together with a Coronation Big Lunch

Apex Lifts, London’s largest independent lift manufacturing and servicing company, hosted a Coronation Big Lunch to celebrate their Planet Mark accreditation.

Apex Lifts have recently been accredited by Planet Mark, a globally recognised commitment to progressing sustainability, and got together to celebrate by hosting a Coronation Big Lunch at their office on Thursday 4th May.

Keen to engage with the wider team, what better way to encourage a discussion than over tea and cake?

As Royal Warrant holders, a Coronation Big Lunch provided the perfect opportunity to get staff together to connect and to find out more about the company’s sustainability initiatives whilst celebrating being part of history with a royal knees up!

Quintissentially British

With a theme of ‘quintessentially British’, the office was decorated with Union Jacks and a local caterer supplied afternoon tea.

The team kindly offered to fundraise for the Eden Project after hearing more about them through Planet Mark, where funds raised will support transformative projects in education, community and ecology.

Collectively coming together in-office provides an opportunity for us to highlight the importance of sustainability

Tilly Hawkins, Marketing Manager

Tilly Hawkins, Marketing Manager, said:

“As a proud holder of the Royal Warrant by appointment to the late HM The Queen, Apex Lifts wanted to celebrate and commemorate the coronation of HM King Charles III through enjoying a quintessentially British afternoon tea and fundraising for Eden Project Communities.

Collectively coming together in-office provides additional engagement opportunity for us to highlight the importance of sustainability and reducing our organisation’s carbon emissions following our recent accreditation with the Planet Mark.”

Lindsey Brummitt, Programme Director of Eden Project Communities, said:

“We know the Planet Mark team very well and were part of founding that initiative as Eden Project.

The Big Lunch is a great way to support the social elements of Planet Mark and encouraging employees to host events is a great way to volunteer in the community to bring people together, and even attending more public events in their area is a great way to build community and social connections.”
