News from Northern Ireland

What a year it's been! This year’s Big Lunch was the biggest yet – with over 17 million people taking part across the UK – and we’re expecting equally impressive stats expected for the Month of Community (more on that soon!).

We've had lots of change and sadly said good bye to our lovely Sophie Bridger – Country Manager for Scotland – who has taken up a new and exciting role with Chest heart and Stroke Scotland. We were gutted to lose her but wish her the best.

Joining forces with Scotland

Grainne McCloskey, who has been working with us in Northern Ireland for over ten years, has taken up the challenge of becoming Scotland and Northern Ireland regional manager. Here’s the team enjoying a planning day in the beautiful Glens of Antrim - where they could see Campbell town clearly across the sea.

As part of this new approach, we are recruiting a Scotland-based person to lead on strengthening our relationships in Scotland and we will offer more opportunities for our Northern Ireland and Scotland network to connect and learn from each other.

Martin Quigley continues as Scotland Community Network Developer and Kathy Black as Northern Ireland Community Network Developer.
