The Big Lunch is the UK's annual get-together for neighbours - the one day a year when people come together to meet, greet, share, play, laugh and of course eat, for no other reason than we all need to.
The Big Lunch is about millions of people getting together to share food, have fun and get to know each other better. The Big Lunch is an idea from the Eden Project, made possible by the National Lottery and over six million people take part every year, creating and strengthening community connection across the UK.
This year, we're celebrating a whole Month of Community, with Big Lunches taking place anytime between 5 June and 5 July and we'd like housing associations across the UK to get behind the initiative.
Below is everything you need to know about The Big Lunch, why it is important and how housing associations can encourage and support residents to join in.
