MSPs pledge to support the Big Lunch in their constituencies

We had a very exciting opportunity to share the work that we do with MSPs at a recent exhibition at the Scottish Parliament. For three days in early February we enjoyed some in depth conversations with MSPs, who took the time to come and hear how coming together with neighbours, sharing food and getting to know each other a little better can be small steps that make a big difference in a community.

We’d also like to thank all the staff at the Scottish Parliament and Cath from the National Lottery Communities Fund team for their support making this happen.

The Little Land of Big Lunches visits the SCVO Gathering

Organised every year by SCVO, The Gathering is the largest free voluntary sector event in the UK, a place for all the amazing people working in the sector to network, showcase what they do and learn from each other.

Not only did we take the Little Land of Big Lunches along for an outing (what a conversation starter that was), we were one of over 110 exhibitors and spoke to 360 people. Not only that, but our event ‘Stronger Community Bonds Matter’ was attended by 160 participants. A big thank you to the Big Lunchers and Network members that came along to help us with this event – your contribution was amazing.
