The Coronation Big Lunch Destination Partners

Savills Property Management is one of the world's leading property consultancies, taking pride in the communities it serves. This year, Savills’ Property Management team has partnered with the Coronation Big Lunch to invite all residents, businesses and visitors who use the places they manage to be part of history, joining millions across the UK!

To celebrate this landmark celebration, a number of iconic destinations across the UK will be hosting Coronation Big Lunches for a national shared moment to unite neighbourhoods and communities, encouraging people to get involved, and support good causes.

 

A crown collage

The Lexicon in Bracknell has teamed up with Bracknell Forest Council to create a crown collage, created from hundreds of photographs submitted by the local community, being unveiled in Princess Square. The community will be invited to witness the local and civic pageantry with a bugler and a huge screen in Bond Square.

A new Coronation Bench will be unveiled under which will be placed a time capsule created by the local community.

 

Big Lunch and family fun

Princesshay in Exeter will host a Big Lunch celebration in the main public square with live music, Lindy Hopping dance troop, local market traders and plenty of children’s activities!

 

Coronation Big Lunch parade

Barons Quay in Northwich, Cheshire – with the BID and Council – will host a Coronation Big Lunch school parade children all wearing crowns or flags made at school. The parade will pass through the town centre and into Barons Quay with a brass band leading the way. All topped off with a special tea for the staff at the Canal and River Trust as a big thank you for keeping their waterways clean and working.

 

Coronation screening

Here East in East London – located on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – will host The Big Lunch on Canalside with screenings of the Coronation. Bring a packed lunch or grab lunch from the Canalside restaurants and enjoy the atmosphere with live music.  Children can enjoy games, face painting, and archery provided by Badu, a non-profit organisation that uses sport as a tool for community development and engagement.   It will be a celebration for all the family.

 

Coronation Big Lunch Street Party

The Metrocentre in Newcastle, is hosting a Coronation Big Lunch Street Party. The event will take place in the Exhibition Square with face painting, flag making workshops and lots of fun and games.  Royal Guards will also be on hand to entertain shoppers, and the centre’s very own Metro gnomes will be out in their finest union jack outfits! All proceeds with go to Gateshead Foodbank.

 

EC BID

EC BID are hosting a series of events from the 2nd – 7th May including making your own Summer floral centrepiece, Coronation picnics and beginner friendly yoga sessions. We recommend booking now to get involved!

 

Red white and blue ribbon celebration

London Bridge City will be celebrating at the weekend by turning Hay’s Galleria into a stunning red white and blue ribbon celebration with a themed ceiling installation and wonderful Maypoles, there will be picnic seating available so bring your lunch or try one of the many restaurants and cafes around London Bridge City!

 

A number of Savills managed residential sites and offices will also join other iconic destinations in the celebrations. London Bridge City, between Tower Bridge and London Bridge, and 20 Fenchurch Street, standing proudly opposite on the other side of The River Thames, bring more festivities to central London.
